Our lead instructor Giorgio has featured in a number of Ultimate-Ski’s articles about guided skiing in the Aosta Valley.
Champoluc is a traditional ski resort with several excellent, family run hotels. Surrounded by the awesome peaks of the Monterosa chain the environment is natural and unspoiled. Champoluc, the furthest west of the 3 lift linked ski resorts which make up the Monterosa ski area, is an intermediate’s paradise with an abundance of long, exhilarating red runs.
The majority of the 180km of pisted runs which make up the Monterosa ski area are reds, but there are also some easier blues and some more challenging blacks.
Champoluc offers a relaxed holiday atmosphere with a number of excellent informal bars and restaurants. There are some good small shops, and the resort’s fabulous new spa facilities offer a range of swimming pools, saunas, Turkish bath, gym and climbing wall.
