Lake Orta & Guided Wine Tour  - £1,450 per person

Combine a relaxing late summer break at the lake side Hotel San Rocco with a fully guided tour of the wine producing regions of Piedmont.

Our 4 day guided wine tour will take you to both the Monferrato and Langhe areas of Piedmont.

The Langhe is well known for such wines as Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera and Dolcetto, whilst Monferrato is better known for its Barbera, Ruche’, Freisa and Moscato.  Excellent food is to be found in both regions with a special emphasis on fine local produce. We will be taking you to some of the best restaurants in the area.

Our tour is timed to coincide with the grape harvest as well as the International Douja d'Or wine festival in Asti.

Enjoy gourmet dining in two of Italy’s most charming hotels, combining the beauty and tranquillity of Lake Iseo with the stunning Alpine surroundings of Cogne and the Gran Paradiso National Park.

Castles, Hill Top Towns & Sea Views – Langhe & Ligurian Sea from £875 

Combine leisurely walks in the vineyards between the hill top towns and medieval castles of the Langhe with a relaxing sea side break on the charming Ligurian coast line.

Travels by Train – Nice, Langhe & The Cinque Terre from £675

Arrive in Nice in the morning and take the lunch time train on the scenic route to Cuneo, from where you will be picked up by taxi and taken to your hotel in either La Morra or Castiglione Falletto.

After a four night stay, return to the coast by train and enjoy a further four nights in the delightful Italian Cinque Terre.

At the end of your stay, take the train either up or down the Ligurian coast to Pisa or Nice for your return flight.

Art & Classic Cars in Piedmont – Turin and Barge from £600

Spend two nights in the Art Hotel in Turin, home to many important pieces of contemporary art and visit some of the cities interesting galleries and museums, such as the Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, and the excellent classic car museum.

Proceed to Barge in Piedmont, where we include a fun day out with picnic in a classic, red Fiat500 station wagon.

Vineyards & Alpine Walks - Monferrato and Courmayeur from £735

Combine the scenic views of vineyards and rolling hills in Monferrato with the spectacular high mountain scenery of Courmayeur and Mont Blanc.

When driving from the UK, Courmayeur is conveniently placed for a stop-over and has many attractions.

Leisurely walks in the unspoiled valleys of Val Veny and Val Ferret provide stunning views over the rocky south face of Mont Blanc, the glaciers and the spectacular peaks of Grandes Jorasses and Aiguille Noir. In the summer time a wonderful 90 minute cable car ride will take you over the Mont Blanc Massif itself.

City Add-Ons in Genoa, Turin, Pisa and Asti

You may like to stay a night or two in your town of arrival or departure - Genoa, Turin and Pisa are all vibrant Italian cities full of historic interest and culture.

September is a particularly interesting month to visit the delightful market town of Asti as there are many local festivals as well as the Palio horse race. (Early booking is essential)
