Courmayeur needs little introduction to the keen skier and mountain enthusiast. Its superb location at the foot of Mont Blanc ensures wonderful skiing in spectacular scenery, and a holiday in this chic mountain town has plenty to offer the skier and non-skier alike.
It offers a good range of pisted runs, easily accessible off piste itineraries, fabulous cross country ski routes, pleasant walking, superb mountain restaurants and a wide range of sporting and other leisure activities.
Courmayeur offers a wide range of accommodation options with some excellent hotels in the outlying historic hamlets of Dolonne and Entreves (both served by their own cable cars), as well as in central Courmayeur.
Neighbouring La Thuile offers excellent skiing on wide, uncrowded slopes, with fabulous views of Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and Monterosa. Cross country skiing is also available, and there are plenty of off-piste opportunities for the more adventurous.
