Champoluc & Gressoney

The three main Monterosa resorts of Champoluc, Gressoney and Alagna are connected by a modern lift system which covers some 180km of piste.  Surrounded by the awesome peaks of the Monterosa chain, the environment is natural and unspoiled with minimal resort development.  Accommodation is of a high standard and the resorts, though quiet and traditional, offer a good selection of informal bars, restaurants and pizzerias.

There are also plenty of excellent places to meet and eat on the mountain.

The Monterosa ski area caters well for all levels of skier and boarder, but the long, well groomed pisted runs and spectacular scenery make for an intermediates paradise.

Beginners will be happiest in Champoluc, where there is a designated area with moving carpet lifts close to the ski school at the top of the Crest Gondola.

Much of the terrain remains undeveloped and is perfect for off- piste skiing.  The whole of the Monterosa area has much to offer deep snow enthusiasts of all levels.

Alagna is legendary for it's fabulous off piste itineraries, and heli ski excursions are easily organsied.

Good cross country skiing is also available in all resorts.
